FDA Approves Metastatic Melanoma Combination Drug.

Reuters (11/20, Kuber) reported that the Food and Drug Administration approved the combination of Tafinlar (dabrafenib) and Mekinist (trametinib) for the treatment of metastatic melanoma.
The FDA’s initial approval of the combination, based on mid-stage clinical data using the agency’s accelerated approval program, was contingent on late-stage data. Healio (11/20) also covered the story.
